Lineberger’s Maple Springs Farm

Ethan Lineberger’s grandfather started their business in 1955 by setting out an acre of strawberries he sold u-pick. Back then he was a part time farmer and continued to do so throughout his career at Rutherford Electric Coop. Over the years he increased both the acreage and number of different fruit and vegetable crops they grow. At their roadside stand they buy and resale produce early in the season until their own vegetables come into season.

They currently grow and sell a wide variety of produce in Kings Mountain and at their roadside stand. At the Kings Mountain Farmers Market they sell strawberries, peaches, blackberries, plums, nectarines, and banana peppers.

At their roadside market, in addition to what they sell in Kings Mountain, they also offer raspberries, blueberries, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, green peppers, egg plant, sugar snap peas, sunflowers, okra, cantaloupes, watermelons, kale, mustard greens, turnip greens, muscadine grapes, fall squash, and pumpkins.

Their roadside stand is located at 906 Dallas-Stanley Highway Dallas NC 28034, and they open when strawberries start ripening (usually April), and close on October 31st. In addition to the Kings Mountain branch of the foothills farmers market, they also sell at the Gastonia Farmers Market, and at the East Lincoln farmers market in Denver NC.
